The William F. Brossman Family Charitable Trust for Scholarships
The William F. Brossman Family Charitable Trust for Scholarships was created through the will of Bertha Brossman Blair, whose father founded
D & E Communications in 1911. After a 72-year career with the company, she left a portion of her estate to establish this lasting scholarship program, with Ephrata National Bank serving as trustee.
J. Harry Hibshman Scholarship Fund
J. Harry Hibshman joined Ephrata National Bank in 1890 and later served as President from 1930 until his passing in 1964 at age 91. A respected community member, he left a lasting legacy through the J. Harry Hibshman Scholarship Fund. Today, we serve as trustee of the fund, helping carry out his wishes to support local students.
Gertrude and Clarence Mellinger Scholarship Fund
Clarence and Gertrude Mellinger spent most of their lives in Akron, Pennsylvania, where Clarence operated a local feed mill for many years. Though they had no children of their own, they shared a deep commitment to helping young people pursue their education. After Clarence’s passing, the Gertrude and Clarence Mellinger Scholarship Fund was established – with Ephrata National Bank named as Trustee – to carry that commitment forward.
The Wolf Foundation for Education
Alfred Wolf immigrated to the United States in 1913 at the age of 14 and went on to own and operate Milda Hosiery, a local business. He was deeply committed to helping deserving students pursue higher education.
Following his passing in 1981, The Wolf Foundation for Education was established, with Ephrata National Bank appointed as Trustee.
